We're a nonprofit
working to shape
the future of education.

Youth Literacy Organisation (YouLI) is a not-for-profit NGO whose mission is to foster literacy and learning as a lifelong process.

Founded in 2009, we’ve evolved from a platform for secondary school students – to explore their creative talents and the literary world – to a movement of young leaders in education and learning activists.

We are driven by a strong belief that – at the very least – individuals who can read and write with proficiency are better able to interact as citizens, consumers, employees, parents, and leaders.

Every day, we engage a network of thought leaders, creative thinkers, and educational leaders who specialise in skills development, youth and adult literacy, workshops and seminars, and strategic planning.

Our track record highlights writing workshops, literary publications and events, as well as targeted campaigns, and lobbying for policy action.

Our footprints have inspired a wave of initiatives that nurture communities of young people who are conscious about the importance of being clear and effective communicators, self- directed and lifelong learners, creative and practical problem solvers, responsible and involved citizens, and interactive and informed thinkers.
